Boko Haram Jonathan’s stranded aides finally leave Maiduguri

The employees had accompanied Jonathan on a
campaign trip to the troubled state but were unable to
leave after a January 25 attack by Boko Haram
militants.
The aides of President Goodluck Jonathan who were
stranded in Maiduguri, Borno State » following a
terrorist attack have finally departed the city.
The employees had accompanied Jonathan on a

The aides, comprising of media representatives and
medical and security units, were also further delayed by
the 24-hour curfew imposed on Maiduguri.
The previously stranded workers are said to have safely
arrived in Abuja on Monday, January 26.
Meanwhile, the curfew on Maiduguri has been lifted and
military authorities say the city is back in the army’s
control. »
