There’s a whole bunch of reasons why we love coconut
oil – it’s a great beauty product, great cooking oil and
very useful shaving oil.
If you already knew about how great coconut oil is for
the skin and hair, you’re about to learn about a whole
new range of things we can use this highly versatile
(and practically free) oil to do.
Here are 5 weird but very useful thing you can do with
coconut oil:
Treat infections: Health experts suggest that
coconut oil contains Monolaurin which is also found
in breast milk and is believed to help babies fight
against infections. It also has anti-fungal properties
which is great in treating infections, bites and
bruises. It also helps check acne breakouts.
Shaving cream: Need to shave those legs? Then
slather on some coconut oil and watch the hair
come off unobtrusively. It nourishes the skin as you
shave, sparing you any itchy feeling that may have
otherwise been the case, and the best part – it’s a
100% natural.
Makes a great polish: Need to add that shine back
to your leather couch or metal/wood surfaces? Put
some coconut oil on a clean cloth and wipe your
fixtures/furniture back to health.
Make-up remover: In addition to being a great skin
and hair moisturiser, coconut oil also makes for a
great make up remover. Apply all over the face and
wipe off with a cotton wool or wipe.
