This puts to rest the various squabbles in the hallowed
chambers.

The Senate in a united voice on Tuesday, 28th July,
2015, has passed a vote of confidence in the Senate
President, Senator Bukola Saraki.

In a motion, which was moved by Senator Samuel
Anyanwu, the Senate warned security operatives to
stop harassing members of the senate or their family
members.
Anyanwu said “Considering the sustained interference
in the internal affairs of the Senate by detractors and
media propaganda against the Senate and senators by
selfish politicians. The senate hereby resolved to pass a
vote of confidence in the President of the Senate,
Senator Bukola Saraki; the Deputy Senate President, Ike
Ekweremadu; the entire senate leadership as presently
constituted.”

The vote of confidence was moved by all the senators
from both the Peoples Democratic Party and the All
Progressives Congress.
This puts to rest the various squabbles in the hallowed
chambers.
