Drama as Osinbajo compels Wike to enter same chopper with Amaechi, Abe

It was a mild drama on Thursday as the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, was escorted to the commissioning of some projects in Rivers State by Minister for Transport, Rotimi Amaechi and Senator Magnus Abe.

It started when Amaechi stepped out of the Presidential Jet, with shouts of “the Lion” by APC faithful who besieged the airport, then next was Senator Magnus Ngei Abe.
Both Rivers APC leaders then walked down to where the chopper was waiting for Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
As the Acting President alighted from the Presidential Jet, he was received on hand by Gov. Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and a handful of traditional rulers and others who queued for a formal handshake with the visitor.
The climax was when Wike pointed at the already waiting BMW to chauffeur drive Osinbajo who insisted rather that they walked to the already waiting Chopper where Amaechi, Abe and others were already seated.
Wike worries were visible as he tried hard to convince the Acting President to go with him and commission just one project, but Osinbajo insisted that they head to the Chopper for the venue of the commissioning of the World standard Fertilizer project built by the INDORAMA Group.
Disappointed, the governor had to leave his aides, supporters and convoy behind and joined Osinbajo to the Chopper where APC faithful were already singing the praise of Amaechi.
As soon as the Acting President climbed into the Chopper and Wike made his way to join him, the youths began to boo him with shouts of, “Come down!, Come down!” while some others continued with shouts of “the Lion!” until the Chopper left.

Gov. Fayose Breaks Silence On Buhari’s Sudden Appearance, Releases Shocking Photo To The World, Exposes Amaechi, El-Rufai, Blatant Lies

Lere Olayinka, the Media Aide to the embattled Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has on Monday, released a shocking photo to Post-Nigeria, allegedly debunking the All Progressives Congress’s, APC, purported visit to President Muhammadu Buhari, in London.

Recall, that the Special Assistant to the President, Femi Adesina, had on Sunday night, released a statement that some APC Governors, including the Transportation Minister, Rotimi Amaechi, met with Buhari, in London, on Sunday.

He had added that, the APC’s delegation spent more than an hour with Buhari over lunch, and it was very clear from the discussions, that he followed developments at home very closely.

He said the President was delighted to receive the delegation, and asked each Governor about affairs in his State.

He also asked Amaechi, about the state of the railways, among others, thereby rubbishing Sahara Reporters’ story, that Buhari had suffered from memory loss.

Adesina went as far as releasing pictures of the delegation having lunch with the President, including the one taken alone by the delegation, without Buhari.

While reacting to the news when Post-Nigeria finally got in touch with Fayose’s Aide, he faulted the authenticity of the picture, by forwarding the discrepancies of the photos to Post-Nigeria.

Lere Olayinka in a piece exclusively forwarded to Post-Nigeria wrote:

”1. Two pictures taken the same day and same venue, APC Chairman, Odigie Oyegun’s dress is different. Why?

”2. Pay more attention to the images in the MIRROR. Why is the different in style of caps of two of the images in the MIRROR, from the photograph?”

He finally added: ”Just using my brain and you can use yours too. Anyway, let’s wish our President soonest recovery.”

Recall, that The Ovation Magazine Publisher, Dele Momodu, had earlier stated that he called Amaechi, to confirm the authenticity of the visit.

However, Political Analysts have been asking when did Buhari decide to have one hour meeting with the APC delegation, whereas when Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, visited, it was allegedly reported that the Acting President, was only allowed to spend 5 minutes with him.

Buhari left the country on May 7, for medical treatment in the British capital.

This is the second time the President will be embarking on a medical vacation this year.

Disease Outbreak Claims Two, 25 On Watchlist In Lagos

An outbreak of cholera has reportedly claimed at least two lives, while 25 others are being treated in three local government areas Lagos State.

According to the Commissioner for Health, Dr Jide Idris, who was joined at a press conference briefing by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Steve Ayorinde, in Lagos yesterday said that the outbreak had been traced to the Somolu, Oshodi-Isolo, and Surulere local government areas.

He said, “Twenty-seven cases have been listed by our epidemiology/disease surveillance officers as of today, July 25, 2017. Two deaths were recorded from the 27 cases.”

“In Oshodi-Isolo LGA, two cases were recorded. One was managed at a private hospital and he is alive, while one died at home.  In Surulere LGA, 14 cases were reported and managed at Randle General Hospital. No death was recorded.”
Idris added that six cases were recorded in Somolu LGA, adding that one of the patients died.

He explained that while four were managed at the Somolu General Hospital, one was managed at a private hospital, while one patient died at home.

“The main suspected source of infection is the contamination of water sources with faecal matter from faulty septic tanks and soak-away, following the heavy rainfall in the state. Samples of well water have been collected and sent to the Lagos State Drug Quality Control Laboratory. We are still expecting the results.”

“The clinical manifestations of cholera are nausea, profuse diarrhoea, vomiting (in early stages of illness), fever, and leg cramp. Later presentations are dehydration, shock or coma.”
“The medical directors of our general hospitals have been placed on alert and fact sheets on cholera forwarded to both public and private hospitals. Our community health workers are in the communities to prevent the spread of the disease.”

“Chlorination of water supply has been intensified, awareness campaign is ongoing.”

He added that two other cases were managed at the Mainland Hospital with no death recorded, while three cases were managed at the Gbagada General Hospital.

The commissioner, therefore enjoined the people to use potable water, saying sanitation was critical in reducing the impact of cholera and other water-borne diseases.
The outbreak was reportedly due to the heavy rainfall being experienced, and the aftermath of flooding in the state.

Lady Slaps Man For Trying To Put His Fingers Into Her Private Part In A Bus

An elderly man received more than he bargained for in a commercial bus after he tried to finger a young lady.

According to Facebook user Damilola Oduolowu who shared the story, the incident took place this morning in Lagos while on his road to work from Ikorodu.

He wrote:

‘AGRO’, SEDUCTION OR LUNACY?

My journey from Ikorodu to work everyday is always not interesting cos of the hours i spend in traffic.

Taking public transport, i enjoy boarding BRT (Blue bus or some times Red bus). No one to disturb your peace, i just plug in my earpiece to watch a movie, listen to music or in most cases, read or write. TATA (White) bus is a

‘No No’ for me because it stinks and that’s where you find all sorts of things.

The naturally loudspeaker voiced self-acclaimed marketers who sell herbal mixtures that cure tens of diseases won’t just allow you rest. All the drama of this life happen on the TATA bus, sometimes formerly called ‘Ise Oluwa’ bus.

That’s why I always prefer the Red BRT whenever i cannot queue for the Blue one. Of course with the mindset that i would be in traffic for about 2hours. Most times it is always the same time you spend queueing for the Blue one so what’s the point wasting my energy to queue for that long.

So this morning, i decided to board the Red one. This is assumed and expected to be saner than the drama stage called TATA. No advert, No babalawo, No preaching and so on.

I took my seat as the ticketer/conductor called in passengers. We moved and gradually approached the massive standstill traffic.

Few minutes later, we all on the bus started hearing slaps in sequence, accompanied with a female voice. We all looked to the direction of the latest drama. Honestly, i thought i had seen it all before. It was from about 3 seats behind me. A man who was sitting beside a good looking chic was being slapped by her angrily. His guilt look was like that of a child who was caught stealing meat from a pot.

Ha! Surprisingly, we tried to understand the reason why this lady kept slapping the poor older man.

He was trying to finger me, mad man! He slid his two fingers into my skirt! She said (in Yoruba language).

Words failed me.

The man received almost a hundred of slaps as passengers (mostly guys) close to the seat registered their annoyance on his face. He was pushed away and punished to join standing passengers.

With a disdainful look, everyone started to discuss the issue.

(Both in Yoruba and English) That’s a bad attitude! He is a disgrace to men! Maybe he is not normal!

And the argument took another shape when some said; ‘He must have been seduced into acting that way, check out what the lady is wearing’.

It went worse when someone said the man might be a ritualist, a baddo.

Ermmmm…. Really? Okay, let me just keep hearing the arguments cos i won’t judge anyone. Could this be agro? I asked myself, laughing as i chatted to a friend about it on WhatsApp.

Soon, slaps resumed on the man. His eyes turned red already and he was looking like he’s going to die. I had to advise him; bros just go down and enter another bus if you don’t want a coma.

If someone told me this story, i wouldn’t have believed. What could this be? I don’t understand at all.

And one question remains accurately unanswered in my mind, Is this ‘Agro’, Seduction or Lunacy?

Avoid Ikorodu Road – Police Warn Lagosians

The Lagos State Police Command has warned Lagosians heading towards Lagos Island to avoid the use of Ikorodu Road.

The warning was contained in a statement by the command’s spokesman, Olarinde Famous-Cole, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni.

According to the statement issued in the early Thursday, the warning became necessary because the queues of tankers wishing to access the tank farms in Apapa area of the state was already stretching towards the Alaka/Stadium Bus Stops end of Ikorodu Road.

Famous-Cole said the tankers’ queue was as a result of the rehabilitation of the Apapa-Wharf Road.

The statement reads; “The Lagos State Police Command would like to inform the general public that as of 0100hrs of date, queue of tankers and trucks from Apapa Wharf Road is getting longer towards Alaka-Stadium/ Surulere Road.

“This might not be unconnected with the ongoing Apapa Road rehabilitation work and the slow pace of work at the Port, which resulted in great reduction in the number of trucks/tankers being handled on daily basis. Consequently, it is advised that Motorists going to Lagos Island use alternative routes. Meanwhile, the Command, in conjunction with other Sister Agencies are doing all the needful to ameliorate the situation.”
