Women with big butts have lower risk of heart attack, stroke, diabetes —Study

If you had doubts about the benefits of your big bum beyond its sex appeal, worry no more, as a study has found that thin people have a higher risk of killer diseases than fat people, since their fat goes straight to their heart and liver.

German researchers say women who are pear-shaped tend to escape this group, as the bottom and thighs are safer places to store fat on the body.

It means the fat is not transported to the essential organs, where it could lead to high blood pressure, high blood sugar and a greater risk of illness in later life.

The study’s lead author, Dr. Norbert Stefan, from the University of Tübingen, says, “It is better for people of normal weight to be pear-shaped rather than apple-shaped, so that weight is carried on the bottom half of their body rather than around the middle.

“The hips and thighs offer ‘safe storage’ for fat, stopping it from getting into the blood and reaching the organs.”

The researchers found those with bigger thighs and hips could be protecting themselves from diabetes and heart problems however.

Looking at 981 people with a high risk of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease, they found those with smaller hips and thighs were at greater risk. This was based on MRI scans of fat distribution around the body and fitness checks.

Stefan says, “Fat in the hips and thighs is largely different from fat in the abdomen, called visceral fat. In pear-shaped people, these areas work like a sponge, with fat stored in fat cells where it cannot do much harm.”

The study, published in the journal, Cell Metabolism, suggests that putting on hip and leg fat could even be beneficial for some thin people with diabetes or heart problems.

The study suggests that being pear-shaped is better for lean people, while in overweight people it does little to help. The fat levels in their internal organs may already be too high for this to offer extra protection.

It concludes: “Genetic analyses suggest that metabolic risk appears to be determined by different pathways in normal weight and obese subjects.”

Wanna grow your beard faster ?

If you are anxious for your beard to come in, there are some things you can try to maximize growth rate and fullness.
In many cultures around the world, the beard is a symbol of consciousness.
And for others, it is a sign of masculinity.

There are people that are naturally blessed with beards. And there are some that nothing in the world will make them have whiskers.

But in between these two peoples, are some that with patience and perseverance, a fine grown bead will eventually surface on their face.

Important to realize is that the rate at which your facial hair grows depends mostly on genetics.

However, if you are anxious for your beard to come in, there are some things you can try to maximize growth rate and fullness.

Here are seven tricks to help you grow your bead faster than usual
1. Exfoliate your skin
You should use a scrub or a skin exfoliant, once every week, to remove dead skin cells. The removal of this dead cells will stimulate new hair growth.

Try an exfoliating mask by applying the product to your face and leave it on for a period of time, usually between ten and thirty minutes, before rinsing it off.
2. Keep a clean skin
Wash your face every morning and night with warm water and a mild cleanser.

A clean skin encourages small hair to grow.

3. Use eucalyptus cream or moisturizer
Any product with eucalyptus is very useful in helping hair grow quickly on your face.

4. Rest well
Your damage skin cells will repair themselves as you sleep. And once the damaged cells are repaired, there will be room for the beard to grow.

5. Consume more minerals and vitamins (fruits)
In addition to eating better, you should also incorporate more vegetables and fruits in your diet, because they are rich in the minerals and vitamins that the hair needs in order to grow more rapidly.

Without the appropriate nutrients in your body, you begin to slow down the production of the hair.
6. Increase the amount of protein in your diet
Protein found in meat, fish, eggs, and nuts will grow facial hair faster.

7. Stay true to the process by leaving the beard alone
The major reason most men struggle to grow beard is that they often give up just at the point where progress is being made.

As a matter of fact, there is going to come a period where the skin will become itchy to the point you are scratching your beard day and night as the growing process is on.

And, it is at this point that the temptation of shaving off the beard start calling.

However, if you’re really serious about growing your beard quickly, you have to be willing to allow at least four weeks for the hairs to grow.

During this time, the itching might become unbearable for some. But if you can resist the temptation, a time will come when the hairs will be soft and the itching will subside.
One of the things that you need to understand in your efforts to grow a beard quickly is that the facial hair is not like the hair on your head.

In conclusion, you should be aware that when you start growing your beard, the hairs simply will not fill in every single spot on the face where the beard will be.

And no matter how hard you try to make everything look even, there are going to be small areas that hair simply won’t grow.

So the only way to work around this issue is to let the beard grow long enough that it fills in and hides any bare spots that you may have.

Shocking !!! See what these women go through just to become pregnant

The agony of a woman not having a child can not be quantified by any measurement in the world, so no one can blame these women for going the extra mile to ensure they are also called mothers.

This is the story of dozens of women in Indian who are desperately looking for a child as they allow ‘God-men’ to trample over them. Tribal women in Andhra Pradesh, southern India, have performed this ritual for generations during the annual festival of Ekadashi, during the month of July.

BUSINESS OWNERSHIP FOR VETERANS: TIPS FOR FINDING THE RIGHT FIT

Many people who live with disabilities consider taking the plunge into business ownership, and this desire is especially common among veterans. Whether there are physical limitations, mental health issues, or challenges with a veteran’s health, owning a business can be a great way to bring in some income while maintaining flexibility and control of one’s daily routines. There are plenty of different businesses that those with disabilities can own, but some options work especially well by being both fairly lucrative and low-pressure.
Veterans bring a great skill set to business ownership
As Profitable Venture notes, many veterans will start businesses that tie-in to military-related fields. Owning a business as a veteran can be an enticing opportunity, and many people with a military background can be quite successful because they are already accustomed to working hard and maintaining structure and discipline. Even if there are health challenges or disabilities in the mix of things, it is possible to build a very successful venture.
Many people living with disabilities or veterans who are looking at business ownership will pursue retail or franchise opportunities. Entrepreneur shares that franchises can be a great fit for many veterans because of the leadership skills they possess and the determination and structure they bring to the table. Some franchises like Pillar to Post Inspection Services, Jan-Pro Franchising, Aire Serv, and Mr. Appliance Corporation have shown a solid track record of having veteran-owned franchises.
Some franchises offer discounts to veterans, and some offer more potential than others

Services such as home inspections, auto glass repair, signs, and heating and air-conditioning services draw in many veterans looking to start their own businesses, and these types of franchises often mesh well with one’s past military experiences. Some popular franchising opportunities even offer discounts off of the franchise fees, a very attractive option for veterans looking to transition into a new career.
Other home business ideas that can work well for veterans or those with disabilities include owning an ATM business or providing consulting services. Restaurant or retail franchises can be attractive options, but Military.com cautions veterans that retail stores, restaurants, travel and tour businesses, and transportation services can be challenging businesses to run. On the other hand, home health care services, computer or Internet-related businesses, and child care services are possibilities with a great deal of potential.
Veterans should utilize available resources that make the startup process easier
Many of these types of businesses also allow veterans to ease back into civilian life by maintaining a need for structure and discipline while also offering up flexibility. For those veterans anxious to own their own business, some support and resources can help pave the way and pin down the best fit. For example, Startup Veterans is one option that veterans can use to get a handle on various business possibilities and they offer a solid support system to help make things happen.
The Small Business Administration recommends utilizing the Boots to Business program, a training and education program that guides veterans through the process of starting up their own business. It is imperative that those with veteran’s health challenges or people with disabilities move forward on business ownership methodically and carefully, and these resources can have a big impact on that front.
When one’s military service days are over, it can be difficult to adjust to civilian life. For many veterans, especially those who come home with disabilities or mental health challenges, owning a business can be a desirable next step. There there are numerous types of self-owned businesses that can become successful, but some are a better fit and more lucrative than others. Finding an opportunity that is a great fit can be a challenging venture, but one that is packed with potential rewards as well.
